A video of a male golfer giving swing advice to a female professional golfer has gone viral on social media (SNS).

According to a video shared on Ball's TikTok account, she was recording a video at a driving range near Liverpool when an unsolicited piece of advice came from a man. The man, whose voice is heard in the video, approached Ball and said, "You shouldn't swing like that."

Although Ball explained that she was exaggerating her movements to demonstrate a swing change, the man ignored her and unilaterally advised, "Follow my instructions and increase your swing speed." Unaware that Ball was a professional golfer, he engaged in what is known as mansplaining ? a rude act where a man condescendingly tries to teach a woman.

Without showing any displeasure, Ball swung as the man advised, and he responded, "Much better," adding, "I've been playing golf for 20 years. Keep doing it like that," expressing satisfaction. Ball thanked the man and ended the situation, later adding subtitles to the video stating, "There was no improvement compared to the previous shot."

The video has surpassed 10 million views and received over 26,000 comments. Viewers criticized the man for giving clumsy advice to a professional golfer, while praising and encouraging Ball for her very polite and wise attitude.

Through BBC, Ball said, "It was a bit awkward to reveal that I am a professional golfer," but added, "Looking back, it’s something to laugh about. I talk to many people every day, and most of them try to help each other," showing a composed response.
