Creating and Promoting Safety and Health Slogans to Foster a Safety Culture

Pohang City has announced a new plan aimed at enhancing workers' safety awareness and changing perceptions regarding the wearing of work uniforms across all its business sites.

This plan is one of the key initiatives of the ‘Serious Accident Reduction Roadmap’ and aims to spread safety awareness and culture under the theme of ‘Creating a Safe and Healthy Workplace, a Happy Korea.’

Implemented throughout the year across all departments of Pohang City, the plan includes the development and production of safety and health slogans to be displayed at workplace entrances and on work uniforms. Additionally, through slogan guidance and promotion, workers will be continuously reminded of the importance of safety.

The selected slogans include ‘Safe and Clean Pohang,’ ‘Safe Pohang We Protect Together,’ ‘Safe Public Jobs, Pohang’s Future,’ ‘Pohang’s Safety, Our Safety, We Are One,’ and ‘Everyone Safe Day, Pohang Happy Day, We Promise!’ which are actively being utilized.

Lee Sang-hyun, Director of the Economic and Labor Division, stated, “Through this safety culture expansion plan, we will do our best to create a safe working environment in Pohang City,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts for the safety of workers.”

In addition, before purchasing work uniforms and safety vests for all departments in Pohang City, the relevant companies will be informed of the safety slogan, and active promotion of the use of safety and health slogans will be conducted.
