The College of Humanities (Building 11) at Changwon National University has completed reconstruction and was newly opened on the 21st.
According to the university, the Changwon National University Humanities Hall, built in 1983, began reconstruction of its interior and exterior facilities in June 2022.
During the reconstruction period, humanities students who temporarily used the Global Lifelong Learning Center (Building 98) will start the new semester in the new building.

The new College of Humanities building is divided into a faculty research wing and a lecture wing. The faculty research wing houses department offices and faculty rooms, while the lecture wing includes general education classrooms, major-specific classrooms, and an open study cafe.
The opening ceremony was attended by Acting President Eo Yoon, Dean of the College of Humanities Heo Cheol-gu, other administrative staff, faculty, students, and alumni.
Acting President Eo expressed gratitude to all university members, including the Dean of Humanities, faculty, students, the Facilities Department, and the Finance Department staff, who worked tirelessly to successfully complete the expansion and remodeling project of the College of Humanities.
Dean Heo stated, “The essence of the humanities, which form the foundation of all academic disciplines including language, literature, history, philosophy, and education?universal values of our society?is right here at the College of Humanities, Changwon National University.” He added, “As the College of Humanities celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, we will strive tirelessly toward a new future for the next 50 and 100 years.”
