Divorce After Reconciliation of 3 Years
Actress Hwang Jung-eum is divorcing businessman and former professional golfer Lee Young-don after 8 years of marriage.
On the 22nd, her agency Y1 Entertainment stated, "After careful consideration, Hwang Jung-eum has decided that it is no longer possible to maintain the marriage and is currently proceeding with divorce litigation." They added, "Details such as the reasons for the divorce are personal matters and cannot be disclosed."
Hwang Jung-eum attracted attention the day before by posting several photos of her husband on her Instagram. In particular, when a netizen who appeared to be an acquaintance of her husband commented, "I can't reach Young-don," she replied, "That's understandable. He has a lot going on right now, so he might be rambling."
When another netizen said, "So this is what Lee Young-don looks like," she responded, "He looks like someone you wouldn't remember even after seeing once. If you think carefully, I've probably met about 400 people."
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married Lee Young-don in 2016 and they have two sons. The couple faced a marital crisis when they filed for divorce mediation in September 2020 but later reconciled.
