"Receive Massage Lying Down or Sitting"… Bodyfriend Launches Chair Bed 'Eden'

Bodyfriend has introduced the chair bed ‘EDEN,’ which combines a bed-type massage device and a massage chair.

On the morning of the 22nd, Bodyfriend held a launch briefing for EDEN on the first floor of its headquarters in Dogok Tower, Gangnam, Seoul.

EDEN is equipped with Bodyfriend’s technology called ‘Robotics Technology.’ A representative feature is the ‘Flexible SL Frame’ technology, which allows users to receive massages freely in both lying and sitting positions. The Flexible SL Frame is an integrated frame extending down to the thigh area that moves to switch between bed and chair forms, a patented technology by Bodyfriend.

The ‘Active Arm Technology,’ which independently moves the arms and upper body to provide massage, is also applied. When the angle of the Flexible SL Frame changes, the actuator motor in the arm massage unit operates accordingly to facilitate arm stretching.

The massage programs consist of eight ‘EDEN Care’ modes. All EDEN Care modes start with a massage in the lying position. These include the ‘Rollback Stretching Mode,’ inspired by Pilates Cadillac rollback exercises, and the ‘Full Body Core Stretching Mode,’ which massages with the legs angled downward while the back is straightened. Additionally, four specialized programs are included for students who spend long hours sitting.

Bodyfriend also applied advanced ‘Finger Moving’ technology to EDEN. Through the XD-PRO massage module, the massage is automatically adjusted in 60 stages, providing a massage that feels like being done by human hands. The hand acupressure magnetic pads and 52 air pockets help users receive massages from fingertips to toes. The heating balls, which automatically adjust temperature, warm up to a maximum of 50 degrees Celsius.

User convenience has also been enhanced. Features include a 4-inch button-type LCD remote control, the ability to create individual accounts for up to eight users, OTA service for automatic software updates without technician visits, and 17 safety sensors to prevent objects from getting caught.
