Lim Chang-jung's Side "No Relation at All... Currently Reviewing the Details"
Singer and actor Lim Chang-jung (51) has been linked to an acting academy that is now embroiled in a 'scam controversy,' but Lim Chang-jung's side has drawn a clear line, stating that neither he nor the academy are related.
Lim Chang-jung's agency, Yes I Am Entertainment, stated on the 21st, "Yes I Am Academy acting school is a company completely unrelated to Yes I Am Entertainment or Lim Chang-jung." They added, "The reported unpaid appearance fee incident also has no connection to Lim Chang-jung," and said, "We will provide further explanations if there are additional details to clarify after a thorough investigation."
The acting academy at the center of the controversy uses the name of the agency 'Yes I Am,' which was founded by Lim Chang-jung. The academy's website has promoted itself with the implication that it is an acting school established by Lim Chang-jung. However, Lim Chang-jung's side has denied any connection between him and the academy. The academy reportedly failed to pay actors their appearance fees following a commercial shoot in March of last year, which has intensified the controversy. Additionally, it has been reported that employees of the academy filed complaints with the Ministry of Employment and Labor after not receiving their final salaries and severance pay upon resignation.
