Gwangjin-gu Council Delivers 2024 Red Cross Special Membership Fees

The Gwangjin District Council (Chairman Chu Yoon-gu) participated in a warm sharing activity for neighbors in need by delivering the 2024 Red Cross Special Membership Fee to the Gwangjin District Chapter of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association at the chairman's office on the 20th.

At the delivery ceremony, Chairman Chu Yoon-gu and Jang Gil-cheon, Chair of the Council Operations Committee, attended and handed over the special membership fee to the chairman of the Gwangjin District Chapter of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association and the head of the Central Volunteer Center, followed by a meeting to discuss the expansion of social contribution activities.

Chairman Chu Yoon-gu said, "I deeply appreciate the Korean Red Cross for being a great hope to neighbors in need through support and volunteer activities for vulnerable groups despite difficult circumstances, and I hope you continue to deliver hope to those who need a helping hand." He added, "The Gwangjin District Council will also actively strive to spread a culture of warm sharing in the local community."

Meanwhile, the Gwangjin District Council delivers the Red Cross special membership fee annually to support vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots and to participate in various humanitarian activities of the Red Cross, such as emergency disaster relief, public healthcare, and international cooperation.
