National Pukyong University announced on the 21st that Professor Kim Ju-hee (Department of Political Science and International Relations) has been inaugurated as the 17th president of the Korean-German Social Science Association.
The term of office is two years, from 2024 to 2025.
The Korean-German Social Science Association, established in 1991, is a leading society for German studies, composed of experts in various fields such as politics, economics, society, law, administration, media, and welfare, serving as an academic bridge connecting Korea and Europe.
The association publishes the Korean Research Foundation-registered journal, Korean-German Social Science Review, in Korean, English, and German, and maintains continuous exchanges with prominent German scholars and experts through academic conferences and seminars.
Professor Kim Ju-hee stated, “To support the academic activities of our members, we will strive for stable management of the association, hold regular academic conferences and seminars to share scholarly achievements between emerging researchers and existing members, expand the scope of research beyond Germany to Europe, and achieve integrative and convergent research in social sciences. We also plan to expand cooperation with various institutions.”
