Additionally, Haenam-gun is making every effort to secure government and external agency public projects, continuing its achievement of exceeding 150 billion KRW in public project funding for three consecutive years.

So far this year, Haenam-gun has been selected for 12 public projects, securing 65 billion KRW, including 45 billion KRW for the Carbon Neutrality (Green Convergence) Cluster Development Project, 18 billion KRW for the Organic Agricultural Industry Complex Service Support Project, 750 million KRW for the 2024 Cultural Industry Promotion Support Project, and 110 million KRW for the 2024 Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project, achieving remarkable success across various fields.

This year, the county plans to promote national and provincial fund project applications such as the Fisheries Village New Vitality Promotion Project and Regional Vitality Town Development Project, meticulously preparing to ensure no leaks in laying the foundation for securing long-term growth engines.

In particular, the county is advancing three core projects: designation of the Solar City Enterprise Zone and Hwawon Industrial Complex as Opportunity Development Special Zones, establishment of a marine leisure tourism hub, and inclusion of the Haenam route in the KTX high-speed rail network. The goal is to be selected for related government public projects to secure national funds and accelerate project implementation.

In this regard, from the 14th to 15th, Haenam-gun visited Jeollanam-do and central government ministries consecutively and jointly proposed with Wando-gun and Yeongam-gun the inclusion of the Haenam-Wando line in the 5th National Railroad Network Construction Plan for the KTX high-speed rail.

County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan stated, “As a result of our full efforts to secure national and provincial funds to obtain mid- to long-term growth engines and resolve local issues, we have achieved remarkable results. This year, we will also prepare meticulously to ensure no setbacks in securing budgets such as national and provincial funds through proactive sales administration.”

Meanwhile, Haenam-gun secured a record-high 417.4 billion KRW in national and provincial budgets this year, surpassing 150 billion KRW in public project funding for three consecutive years, significantly strengthening difficult local finances and achieving outstanding results in the smooth progress of local projects.
