Transformed into a New Community Rest Area... Daegu Dongchon Yuwonji Holds Midterm Service Report Meeting

Daegu Dong-gu Office held an interim report meeting for the 'Public Design Master Plan Establishment Project for the Dongchon Amusement Park Riverside Area.'

The report meeting held on the 15th was conducted in a way to share opinions on the current status of the project and the future direction based on the interim deliverables.

The master plan concept for Daegu Dongchon Amusement Park includes art/exploration (busking plaza, play garden, tree walk, etc.), viewpoint and event spaces (Poly Park, Omok Plaza, etc.), community and rest areas (forest garden, health garden, picnic zone, etc.), and a nightscape specialized zone.

In addition, the current flood prevention embankment construction plan will propose to the Environmental Office a unique embankment design rather than a simple large-scale civil engineering embankment.

Yoon Seok-jun, head of Daegu Dong-gu Office, said, “Since this project is aimed at transforming the Geumho River into a premium river, we will establish a foundation for Dongchon Amusement Park to regain its past reputation through collecting local residents’ opinions, collaborating with related departments, and consulting with the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office.”
