Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Completion Ceremony for Sanggye Jugong 3 Complex Old Water Pipe Replacement Support

On the 16th at 11 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 'Completion Ceremony for the Replacement Support of Old Water Pipes in Sanggye Jugong 3 Complex' held at the senior citizens' center in Sanggye Jugong 3 Complex, Nowon-gu, Seoul.

The district has 83% of its housing as apartments and other multi-family residences. As the need to improve the drinking environment in apartment complexes over 30 years old has emerged, the district is actively implementing a project to support the replacement of old communal water supply pipes in aging multi-family housing.

From August to December last year, the replacement work of old water pipes in Sanggye Jugong 3 Complex apartments was carried out, and the district supported the cost of replacing water pipes with 300,000 KRW per household, totaling 663,901,000 KRW.

The event was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, National Assembly member Woo Won-shik, district council members, the chairman of the residents' representative meeting of Sanggye Jugong 3 Complex, the building manager, and residents. The ceremony proceeded with opening remarks, the national anthem, introduction of guests, an overview and progress report of the construction, greetings, presentation of appreciation plaques, congratulatory speeches, and a commemorative cake cutting.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "I am pleased to relieve residents who have experienced inconvenience due to aging water pipes from concerns about rust-colored water," adding, "We will continue to create a pleasant and safe residential environment to realize a livable city, Nowon."
