Jeong Myeong-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, stated this during the city council's special session on the 15th, presenting the direction for city administration this year. Mayor Jeong identified welfare, culture, transportation, and economy as the four key areas of focus for this year's city administration.

In his speech, Mayor Jeong announced plans to implement ▲customized care services ▲establish a platform for accompanying persons with disabilities ▲support slow learners ▲operate a financial welfare counseling support center. Additionally, he outlined key cultural projects including ▲expanding public library infrastructure ▲opening the Hwaseong Independence Movement Memorial Hall ▲hosting the Sea Day event ▲promoting the Botanic Garden Hwaseong project.

In the transportation sector, he emphasized actively pursuing ▲expansion of the metropolitan transportation network ▲promotion of smart mobility projects, while in the economic sector, he highlighted ▲establishing three major medium-term plans ▲setting up a small and medium enterprise support center ▲fostering social venture companies.

Mayor Jeong requested the city council's active cooperation, saying, "I will work hard throughout the year so that Hwaseong citizens can truly feel proud to be citizens of the number one city."
