CU Box Accelerates Supply of AI Video Recognition Products to Vietnamese Market

CUBox, an artificial intelligence (AI) video recognition specialist company, announced on the 15th that it signed a distribution agreement with TRI NAM Group, a Vietnamese ICT specialist company, on the 4th.

A company representative stated, "With this contract, we will be able to supply CUBox's AI video recognition products quickly and safely in Vietnam," adding, "We will rapidly carry out sales, marketing, and customer service locally in Vietnam and maximize business efficiency."

The product receiving significant attention in Vietnam is CUBox's FRS (Face Recognition System)-based e-KYC (Know Your Customer) service. In Vietnam, online financial transactions currently verify identity based on text such as the name and address recorded on ID cards, but this only confirms the authenticity of the ID card. Photo verification and identity confirmation are conducted separately.

However, the State Bank of Vietnam announced that from July 1 this year, biometric authentication will be mandatory for electronic wallet transfers involving online account transfers or simple payments exceeding 10 million dong. In response to this policy change, the Vietnamese public security has stated it will establish its own face recognition service and provide face recognition-based identity verification services to financial institutions. CUBox plans to collaborate with TRI NAM to supply FRS to the Vietnamese public security in advance of this local situation.

Since the 2010s, Vietnam has gradually shifted to CBT (Computer-Based Testing) for exams, and currently, various national certification exams as well as school exams are conducted via CBT. Accordingly, the introduction of cheating prevention solutions is essential. CUBox's AI video recognition-based online work management solution, SEEU ON, is also useful for detecting cheating in CBT, and CUBox plans to continue active marketing with TRI NAM to promote the use of this solution in Vietnam.

A CUBox representative explained, "In response to the Vietnamese public security's request, we are also reviewing the introduction of AI video recognition-based Re-ID services together with TRI NAM," adding, "Re-ID is a technology that assigns arbitrary IDs to visitors and uses AI technology to track movement paths and detect abnormal behavior, and it is used in places requiring high security."

TRI NAM Group, established in 2009, is an ICT specialist company supplying IT solutions in areas such as smart transportation, smart education, smart government, and national databases. It has business networks with government agencies including the Ministry of Transport, Public Security, and Ministry of Education, as well as numerous corporate clients and universities.
