Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is accepting applications for the '2024 Guro-gu Weekend Farm'.

The district is creating and operating weekend farms in the city to provide residents with opportunities for healing by promoting health and wholesome leisure through rural experiences.

The weekend farm located in Gung-dong is divided into a total of 635 plots (5 zones), and the garden plots can be used from the end of March to December.

Residents registered in Guro-gu can apply for one plot (16㎡) per household, and the participation fee is 60,000 KRW.

Applications can be submitted online through the district office website from the 19th to the 23rd of this month, and selections will be made via computerized lottery on the 29th.

If the payment is not made within the designated period after the lottery, the applicant will be excluded from the allocation, and the plot will be offered to a reserve selected through the computerized lottery.

Additionally, for communities such as daycare centers and social welfare facilities, demand surveys will be conducted through the relevant departments or local community centers.

A Guro-gu official stated, “We hope families enjoy harvesting fresh ingredients through the weekend farm, and for the convenience of users, fertilizer will be applied during the soil preparation process before opening.”
