Linos Starts Anew with PolarisAI... "Full-Scale AI Business Launch"

Linos has been successfully acquired by Polaris Office Group. The company name has also been changed to PolarisAI, marking a new beginning.

PolarisAI announced on the 14th that Polaris Uno and Polaris Sewon have become the largest shareholders. Along with this, at the extraordinary general meeting held on the same day, all agenda items including the appointment of new board members, company name change, and addition of business objectives were approved as originally proposed.

Inside directors include Cho Sung-woo, chairman and key executive overseeing the existing Polaris Office Group, and Ji Jun-kyung, CEO of Polaris Office. Ji Jun-kyung will concurrently serve as CEO of PolarisAI and plans to elevate the competitiveness of the entire group to the next level. Additionally, Byun Ji-woong, who has experience at Samsung SDS and Samsung Electronics MX (Mobile Experience) division, was appointed as an inside director and head of the ICT Business Division (Vice President).

The business objectives were expanded to include ▲ development and supply of products and services utilizing artificial intelligence and big data technologies ▲ research, development, and supply of devices applying artificial intelligence solutions, while non-operating items were removed.

Polaris Office Group plans to create synergy with PolarisAI based on the generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications and document software technology of its core affiliate, Polaris Office. An 'AI Convergence Research Institute' will be newly established centered on Polaris Office to facilitate mutual cooperation with PolarisAI’s ICT Business Division and its subsidiary, PowerVoice, a specialized voice AI company.

Ji Jun-kyung, who will lead PolarisAI, stated, "This year marks the inaugural year in which enterprises, public institutions, and financial sectors actively consider adopting generative AI to improve work productivity. Through the linkage between Polaris Office, which has AI document solution capabilities, and PolarisAI, which operates voice AI and SI (System Integration) businesses, we will expand B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) services."

He added, "Despite having stable business performance and financial soundness, Polaris Uno and Polaris Sewon, often evaluated with low PBR (price-to-book ratio), will, as the first and second largest shareholders, enhance the overall corporate value and financial soundness of the group."
