DevSisters' 'Cookie Run: Kingdom' has reportedly generated $10 million (approximately 13.3 billion KRW) in revenue in the Chinese market within just over a month.
App market research firm Sensor Tower announced on the 13th that Cookie Run: Kingdom recorded $10 million in revenue from the iOS market alone over 35 days since its release in the Chinese market at the end of last year.
Cookie Run: Kingdom was launched in the Chinese market on December 28 last year through a joint publishing effort by Chuangyu and Tencent Games. By the 31st of last month, China accounted for 76.9% of global downloads and 53.2% of spending on 'Cookie Run: Kingdom'.
Sensor Tower explained, "Unlike other markets, where Google Play is available, China only uses iOS for estimation, making the achievement even more remarkable." During this period, Cookie Run: Kingdom ranked as the 9th most downloaded mobile game on China's iOS platform and was 2nd among mobile squad role-playing games (RPGs).
Sensor Tower evaluated that this success was influenced by the incorporation of Chinese culture through new stories and music, the release of original characters, and collaborations with Chinese food companies.
