Applications for the apartment complex support project aimed at creating a safe and pleasant residential environment are concentrated in February and March. This support project provides maintenance costs for common facilities in complexes with a certain number of households, funded by the district office, and the scale of support has been increased in each district this year. Since there are budget and application period limits, it is advisable to prepare carefully.
Dongjak-gu in Seoul is recruiting participating complexes in two categories: support for common facilities and community revitalization, targeting 159 apartment complexes in the district. Each complex can apply for one cost item related to maintenance of common facilities, disinfection of children's playgrounds, and electricity fees for outdoor security lights.
This year's project budget is a total of 850 million KRW, which is over 200 million KRW more than last year. Support can cover 50-90% of the project cost per complex, up to a maximum of 30 million KRW. Dongjak-gu is also promoting a pilot project to install electric vehicle fire-exclusive extinguishing facilities within apartment complexes, the first among Seoul's districts. It supports 90% of the installation cost, and applications can be submitted concurrently with other common facility projects. Applications are accepted from March 4 to 22.
Seongbuk-gu is conducting a public contest in four categories for apartment complexes with 30 or more households: community revitalization, senior security guards, open apartments, and management support projects. A total budget of 1 billion KRW has been prepared for this contest, with support ranging from 8 million to 20 million KRW per project. The application period is from February 19 to March 15.
Yongsan-gu also supports apartment complexes with 30 or more households in the district for projects including auxiliary and welfare facilities within complexes, repair of common areas, energy-saving initiatives, facilities for the disabled and bicycle-related facilities, installation and improvement of delivery facilities, expansion and repair of outdoor parking lots, and improvement of working conditions for workers such as security guards within the complexes.
If selected for the support project, up to 70% of the project costs necessary for maintenance or safety management of common facilities can be supported. Each apartment complex can receive up to 23 million KRW. Priority support is given especially to urgent repairs of safety hazard facilities, improvement of working conditions for workers such as security guards, and projects targeting marginalized groups such as seniors and the disabled.
Jongno-gu also accepts applications for the apartment complex support project for one month from February 14 to March 13. Apartment complexes with 20 or more households are eligible. This year's support budget is a total of 160 million KRW, which is relatively small compared to other districts.
To apply for the apartment complex support project, approval from the residents' representative meeting is required, and applicants must prepare and submit the application form and other required documents. Applications can be submitted by mail or email to the housing-related department of each district office, and after review by the apartment complex deliberation committee in each district, results will be announced in April.
