Editor's NoteThis week's exhibitions introduce a variety of attractive shows from across the country that can be experienced over the course of one week.

▲ Yesin Kang Solo Exhibition 'Dreamy Dimensions' = The Trinity Gallery at Grand Hyatt Seoul presents Yesin Kang's solo exhibition 'Dreamy Dimensions.' In this exhibition, the artist unveils a series of bookshelf works that highlight her delicate creative process.

Since 2011, the artist has been creating a series of works that encapsulate miniature book objects and drawings within bookshelf frames, revealing her unique and pure worldview. Proposing the 'world of the forest' as an alternative space to escape everyday worries and concerns, the artist says that one can encounter animals here that are unafraid of humans.

Just like the lyrical titles of works such as "After the Flowers Bloom, the Moon is Ready to Rise" and "Even Small Stories Glow Red Within You," the artist's work begins with delicate and personal emotions encountered in daily life. Characterized by warm pen drawings that express imaginative narratives with fine detail, the drawings densely packed like a forest within the bookshelf depict a hidden sanctuary explored by the 'story rabbit,' a figure representing the artist's ego.

The artist explains, "One story opens one door and leads to one world. Whether it is true or not does not matter. The more plausible the fiction is firmly built and the longer the endless narrative with no clear beginning becomes, the more serious the new world becomes." Curator Hyungseon Kim of The Trinity said, "The artist's works captivate the viewer at first glance, naturally drawing out our inner imagination. We hope you immerse yourself in the infinite dreamlike journey by looking into the bookshelf." The exhibition runs until the 23rd at The Trinity Gallery at Grand Hyatt Seoul, Sowol-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

▲ Wongeun Jeon Solo Exhibition 'Why We Must Learn the Language of Plants' = Choi & Choi Seoul presents the solo exhibition 'Why We Must Learn the Language of Plants' by Wongeun Jeon, an artist active between D?sseldorf, Germany, Europe, and Korea. Introducing over 20 new works, the artist showcases his meticulously cultivated artistic world to the audience in diverse ways.

Though the works feature ordinary canvases painted with diluted acrylic paint using broad brushes, the artist says he completed the works by repeatedly adding paint to the canvas as if watering a potted plant. He persistently researched paint and emphasized that this process clarified the distinctive features when comparing similar paintings with his own.

The artist continues to explore the relationship between monochromatic abstract areas and color using the fundamental materiality of painting, 'color.' He expands restrained monochrome painting with his own new perspective, making color both a basic element of painting and a core theme of his work. The process of applying thin layers of diluted acrylic paint more than twenty times to evenly distribute color on the canvas, wiping it off with water and brush, then repeatedly layering and erasing the four colors red, yellow, green, and blue about 50 times is a long, almost meditative journey that can take over a year.

The subtlety created by the peeled paint marks and overlapping layers of color produces a natural hue from beneath the canvas, proving this lengthy journey to the audience. The exhibition runs until the 24th at Choi & Choi Seoul Gallery, Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

▲ Osan Museum of Art 'Change and Convert' Exhibition = Osan Museum of Art presents the media art exhibition 'Change and Convert.' This exhibition reveals new technology content infused with emotion under the theme of 'conversion' in a world 'changing' from analog to digital through various works.

With the theme of communication between static language and dynamic images, this exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to understand contemporary art. In particular, the works that combine visual art with the technical principles applied to each media piece recreate precious emotions hidden behind trends using diverse technological skills.
