Seogangseok, Mayor of Songpa District, visited four social welfare facilities on the 8th, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, to offer encouragement and deliver corporate sponsorship goods.

This holiday, Lotte Corporation sponsored 1,200 bags of 10kg white rice (worth approximately 34 million KRW), which were distributed to 1,200 low-income households. Lotte World directly produced 100 "Dream On Boxes" (containing groceries, pots, etc.) worth about 10 million KRW and delivered them to 100 elderly users of the Pungnap and Jamsil Comprehensive Social Welfare Centers.

Additionally, HL D&I Halla, Hansol Hospital, and Jina Mtel Korea each donated more than 10 million KRW in cash, which will be used for the 2024 Warm Winter Welfare Support Project.

The goods sponsored by companies and hospitals were personally delivered by Mayor Seogangseok on the 8th during his visits to four social welfare facilities in the area. He also visited facilities for the disabled, children, veterans, and the elderly to convey the warmth of neighbors.

Finally, he delivered grocery gift packages to 40 foster children to support foster families in having a warm and abundant holiday season.

The foster care system is a welfare service that places children in suitable families for a certain period when their original families cannot raise them due to abuse, neglect, poverty, or other circumstances, in accordance with the standards set by the Child Welfare Act.
