Large Marts Closed for One Day on 10th or 11th
During the Lunar New Year holiday period, large supermarkets generally closed on the 10th. Department stores will be closed for two days from the 9th or on the 10th and 11th. As family shopping outings are expected during the holiday, it is advisable to check the closure schedule in advance.
According to the distribution industry on the 8th, most Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, and Hyundai Department Store locations will be closed on the 9th and 10th.
First, Lotte Department Store will close 29 stores except for Bundang, Centum City, and Masan stores on the 9th and 10th. The remaining three stores are scheduled to close on the 10th and 11th.
Shinsegae Department Store’s main branch will be closed on the 10th and 11th, Hanam branch will be closed on the Lunar New Year day, the 10th, and the others are scheduled to close on the 9th and 10th. Hyundai Department Store’s Apgujeong main branch, Sinchon branch, Mia branch, D-Cube City, Busan branch, and Ulsan Dong-gu branch will be closed on the 10th and 11th. Additionally, 10 stores including Trade Center branch, Cheonho branch, Mokdong branch, Jungdong branch, Kintex branch, Pangyo branch, The Hyundai Seoul, The Hyundai Daegu, Ulsan branch, and Chungcheong branch are scheduled to close on the 9th and 10th.
Most large supermarkets will also close for one day on either the 10th or 11th, so it is necessary to check before visiting.
On the Lunar New Year day, the 10th, 43 Emart stores, 9 Traders stores, 27 Lotte Mart stores, and 20 Homeplus stores will be closed.
On the 11th, 78 Emart stores, 11 Traders stores, 74 Lotte Mart stores, and 84 Homeplus stores will be closed.
Outlet stores also require prior confirmation of closures. It is easy to remember that most will close on the 10th. Among 21 Lotte Premium Outlets, Outlets, and L Cube stores, the Sejong store will close on the 9th, and the remaining 20 stores will close on the 10th.
All five Shinsegae Outlet stores will be closed on the holiday, the 10th. All eight Hyundai Outlet stores will also close on the 10th.
In particular, large supermarkets usually operate from 11 a.m. to 9?10 p.m., but some stores may have different hours, so it is necessary to check the respective supermarket’s website.
