Seoul National University President Yoo Hong-rim Meets with Chairman of Iraq National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee

Collecting the Meanings of Research and Student Exchanges Between the Two Countries

Seoul National University announced on the 11th that President Yoo Hong-rim met with Dylan Gafur Salih, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Iraqi Parliament.

Chairman Salih highly evaluated Seoul National University's educational and research capabilities and expressed hope for expanded exchange and cooperation between the two countries. In response, President Yoo introduced the International Cooperation Headquarters and the West Asia Center of the Asia Research Institute at Seoul National University, expressing hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity for active personal exchanges between researchers and students of both countries.

Furthermore, President Yoo and Chairman Salih reached a consensus to expand academic and student exchanges between the two countries and agreed to collaborate in various fields.

Also present at the meeting were Kim Sun-young, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Headquarters, and Professor Koo Ki-yeon of the West Asia Center at the Asia Research Institute.
