Mokpo National University Hosts Lunar New Year Event for International Students

Encouraging Students Studying Abroad and Sharing Korean Warmth

The International Exchange Education Center at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) announced on the 8th that it successfully held the '2024 Lunar New Year Celebration for International Students' on the 7th from 1 PM to 6 PM at the International Exchange Education Center of Mokpo National University.

This event was prepared to encourage students studying abroad away from their homeland and to share the warmth of Korean culture in celebration of the Year of the Blue Dragon, Gapjin Year Lunar New Year. Participants enjoyed various fruits and traditional rice cakes while engaging in conversations.

Professor Ko Doo-gap, Director of the International Exchange Education Center at Mokpo National University, said, "We organized this event to share warm feelings with international students who have come from afar to celebrate the nation's biggest holiday, Lunar New Year. We plan to continue offering various customized events to support a stable study abroad life for international students."

Meanwhile, the International Exchange Education Center at Mokpo National University is striving to activate a global campus by attracting international students and to lead globalization and strengthen global capabilities through exchanges with world-renowned universities.
