Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Supports Heating Costs for Elderly Paper Collectors

The Community Security Council of Songjeong 1-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, provided heating cost support to elderly people collecting waste paper in the area.

Using the sponsorship funds, they delivered heating costs of 100,000 won each to 20 elderly people.

They plan to continue supporting the living stability of elderly people in blind spots based on various sponsorships and donations.

Ki Young-cheol, chairman of the Community Security Council, said, “We hope that our neighbors and elderly people who make a living by collecting waste paper can spend this winter warmly.”
