Hi Investment & Securities announced on the 8th that it carried out social contribution activities to support families with children in vulnerable groups in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The social contribution event took place on the 7th at Yeongdeungpo General Social Welfare Center, attended by Hong Won-sik, President of Hi Investment & Securities, and Shin Jeong-won, Head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. They delivered 40 sets of Lunar New Year holiday goods including traditional Korean sweets (worth approximately 2 million KRW) and family travel support funds (worth approximately 13 million KRW).
The delivered goods and support funds will be distributed to families with children in vulnerable groups within the welfare center to help them enjoy a joyful holiday and support family travel. The family travel support funds will be used to assist about 30 families (120,000 KRW per person), with the recipient families to be selected during the first quarter.
Yeongdeungpo General Social Welfare Center is one of the project institutions of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, which conducts child welfare projects through 19 regional headquarters and project institutions.
Hong Won-sik, President of Hi Investment & Securities, stated, "We hope to share the warmth of the Lunar New Year holiday with families facing economic difficulties and to support family leisure activities, even in a small way, so that children in vulnerable groups can strengthen family bonds and grow up healthily."
