Four Seasons Hotel Seoul Also Named a 5-Star Hotel
Six Hotels Including Signiel Seoul Selected as 4-Star
The Shilla Seoul Hotel has been selected as a 5-star hotel for six consecutive years, the first and only domestic hotel to achieve this, by the Forbes Travel Guide, known as the "Michelin Guide of hotels."
According to the industry on the 8th, the Forbes Travel Guide officially announced the "2024 Forbes Travel Guide" on its official website at 9 a.m. local time the previous day, selecting The Shilla Seoul Hotel as a 5-star hotel. With this, The Shilla Seoul Hotel became the first domestic hotel to be listed as a 5-star hotel for six consecutive years, ranking among the 340 5-star hotels worldwide.

Along with The Shilla Seoul Hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul was also selected as a 5-star hotel domestically. Six hotels were chosen as 4-star hotels: Signiel Seoul, Art Paradiso Boutique Hotel, Westin Chosun Hotel Seoul, Conrad Seoul, Paradise City, and Park Hyatt Seoul.
The Forbes Travel Guide is a globally authoritative evaluation institution that selects and announces ratings for hotels, restaurants, and spas. It began in 1958 as the "Mobil Travel Guide" and is celebrating its 66th anniversary this year. It is known as the originator of the 5-star hotel system applied worldwide. It applies excellent service and facility standards valued in the global tourism industry for evaluation, earning it the nickname "Michelin Guide of hotels."
South Korea was first selected as an evaluation country in 2017. In the first year of evaluation, The Shilla Seoul Hotel was selected as a 4-star hotel in the "2017 Forbes Travel Guide," then was uniquely upgraded to 5 stars among domestic hotels in the "2019 Forbes Travel Guide," and has maintained its 5-star status for six consecutive years through this year.
Meanwhile, The Shilla Seoul Hotel holds top competitiveness in various hotel operation indicators such as room occupancy rate and average spending per guest. All four of The Shilla Seoul Hotel’s fine dining restaurants are listed with excellent ratings on La Liste.
