Lee Won-joo (20), the youngest daughter of Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, has been confirmed to be working as an intern at the U.S. non-governmental organization (NGO) Simmons Center.

According to the center's website on the 7th, Lee is listed under the English name "Madison Lee" in the intern introduction section. She introduced herself by saying, "I am from Seoul, South Korea, but I was born in New York, USA," and "I am currently a sophomore majoring in Data Science at the University of Chicago." She added, "I always strive to make a positive impact on the society and local community I belong to or live in," and "I was also active with community service groups on campus during high school."

The Simmons Center, where Lee is involved, is an NGO led by the world-renowned philanthropist Adele Smith Simmons, headquartered in Chicago, USA. It aims to build a global philanthropic network.
