Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, visited Yongin Central Market, a traditional market located in Kimryangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu, on the 6th ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to encourage the merchants.

Mayor Lee, along with Lee Soon-hwan, President of the Yongin Central Market Merchants Association, and city officials, toured the market's stores for about 40 minutes, greeting citizens and personally shopping with his wife, Kim Mi-young.

On this day, Mayor Lee also conducted a campaign to promote the use of traditional markets and stabilize local prices. He said, "For citizens who find it difficult to visit in person, we provide a service to purchase Yongin Central Market products online," adding, "This Lunar New Year, we hope you prepare for the holiday at the warm and hospitable traditional market."
