On the 6th, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, visited traditional markets and senior welfare centers in Jinhae-gu as part of Lunar New Year field communication with the public, directly interacting with citizens on site and participating in meal service volunteer work.

On this day, Mayor Hong visited Jinhae Central Market, purchasing goods himself while listening to the merchants' difficulties and exchanging New Year's greetings with citizens.

Afterwards, he toured the entire Jinhae West Senior Welfare Center, offering New Year's greetings to the elderly and carefully checking for any inconveniences in their use. He also encouraged and expressed gratitude to the volunteers and facility staff who were working hard on site.

Then, at the senior dining hall, he participated in meal service volunteer work, asking each elderly person about their well-being and health together with other volunteers.

Mayor Hong stated, “Various policies for senior welfare are necessary in preparation for rapid aging,” adding, “We will pay even more meticulous attention so that the elderly can live comfortably and actively.”
