Exhibition Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Birth
Amorepacific is holding a commemorative exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Seosunghwan, the former chairman.
On the 5th, Amorepacific announced that it will hold the exhibition "Amorepacific Seosunghwan 100 Years | 1924-2024" at the "Amorepacific Archive" located in Amore Beauty Park in Osan, Gyeonggi Province. The exhibition, which opened on the 1st, will run until December 27 this year.
Amorepacific prepared this exhibition to reflect on the life and pioneering spirit of Seosunghwan, the former chairman and a pioneer of Korea's cosmetics industry. The exhibition allows visitors to trace Seosunghwan’s footsteps, including marketing strategies based on product and customer-centric principles. Amorepacific explained that visitors can also feel the relentless determination and philosophy of Chairman Seo, who constantly challenged himself.
The exhibition features over 800 items from the Amorepacific Archive collection. Exhibits include Korea’s first cosmetics manufacturing license obtained in 1955, research logs written in 1961, and various products, publications, advertisements, and photographs from the 1950s to recent times.
The exhibition is divided into four themes. First, visitors can explore Amorepacific’s history of challenges that changed the landscape of the domestic cosmetics industry. Next, the exhibition introduces Amorepacific’s design heritage. The third theme covers the history of Amorepacific’s advertising and marketing, and finally, through the footsteps of Seosunghwan, it presents the unique beauty he pursued.
Meanwhile, Amorepacific conveys its corporate story through various exhibition facilities located in Amore Beauty Park in Osan. At the "Amorepacific Factory," visitors can get an overview of the company’s history through early production facilities and videos of Chairman Seosunghwan. At the "Raw Material Botanical Garden," visitors can see major raw material plants as well as various plants currently used in different products.
