Russia: "Ukraine Attacks Bakery in Occupied Area... 20 Dead"

On the 3rd (local time), Russia claimed that Ukraine attacked Russian-occupied territories with rockets, resulting in 20 deaths.

According to foreign media on the day, an official from the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine, occupied by Russia, said that the attack destroyed residential buildings including a bakery in the city of Lysychansk, killing 20 people and injuring 10.

The official added that the attack involved the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) provided by the United States to Ukraine.

Authorities are conducting rescue operations, believing that dozens of people are trapped under the debris. Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, labeled the attack as terrorism and claimed that Ukraine deliberately targeted the bakery despite knowing that many people were inside at the time of the attack.

She also called on the international community to condemn the attack, emphasizing that Western-supplied weapons were used.

Ukraine has not yet issued a statement regarding these claims.
