Lee Sang-geun, the governor of Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, conducted an on-site inspection of the Sports Town sports facility development area in Goseong-eup.

On January 31, Governor Lee listened to the current project progress of the ▲Goseong-gun Amateur Baseball Stadium (Second Stadium) development site ▲Cultural Sports Center (Swimming Pool) renovation project site ▲Goseong Middle School National Sports Center (Neighborhood Living Type) construction site, all located within Goseong-gun Sports Town, and thoroughly checked the on-site progress.

Goseong-gun is currently building the Goseong-gun Amateur Baseball Stadium (Second Stadium), renovating the Cultural Sports Center (Swimming Pool), and constructing the Goseong Middle School National Sports Center (Neighborhood Living Type) to become the nation's top sports mecca.

Additionally, the 'Sports Village Development' and 'Goseong-gun Indoor Baseball Practice Facility Construction' are in the final stages of administrative procedures, with plans to start the projects soon aiming for completion by the end of this year.

Furthermore, the Goseong Park Golf Course project, to be developed in the Sunam-ri area, is nearly finished with land compensation. After detailed design, partial construction will proceed this year, with full completion planned for next year.

Governor Lee, who visited the site, said, “I ask the department heads and those in charge to frequently visit the project sites and communicate on-site to realize the sports facilities that embody the hopes of residents and athletes.” He added, “Through this, I hope that visible results that the residents can feel will be produced, and that the projects will be completed safely and on schedule with a strong sense of responsibility.”

Meanwhile, Goseong-gun is steadily progressing in building sports infrastructure to enhance residents' convenience and establish itself as the best sports mecca in South Korea.

Once the Goseong-gun Youth Hostel, currently under construction with a target completion by the end of this year, is built, it is expected to greatly aid in fostering training teams linked to sports programs and in attracting various competitions and events.
