Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the '2023 Social Contribution Neighbor Helping Merit Award Ceremony' at the Citizen Hall on the 31st.

The event was organized to honor and express gratitude to the meritorious individuals who made significant contributions to practicing and spreading a culture of sharing for neighbors in need in 2023.

Among the sponsors who participated in social contribution and neighbor helping sharing throughout 2023, 11 companies, 10 organizations, and 15 individuals were selected as meritorious contributors.

During the past year, the city used the funds and goods collected through social contribution projects involving various sectors of society to support neighbors in need with living expenses, medical costs, scholarships, and daily necessities.

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “I thank the meritorious contributors who have consistently practiced love for neighbors despite the economically difficult situation for everyone. We will do our best to make Changwon a warm and happy city where no one is left out.”
