GC Cell, Last Year's Sales 187.5 Billion KRW... Operating Profit Down 91%

Achieved Sales Growth and Turned Profitable on a Quarterly Basis

GC Cell announced on the 31st that it recorded operating revenue of 187.544 billion KRW and operating profit of 4.077 billion KRW for last year.

Last year's performance saw a 20.6% decrease in revenue and a 90.8% decrease in operating profit compared to 2022. The company analyzed that the main reasons for this change in profit structure were "a decrease in specimen testing service revenue due to the decline in COVID-19 patient numbers" and "an increase in operating expenses due to accelerated clinical trials."

However, on a quarterly basis, the company succeeded in returning to operating profit in the fourth quarter after turning to a loss in the third quarter of last year. The fourth quarter results were 52.516 billion KRW in revenue and 3.725 billion KRW in operating profit. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 11.6%, and operating profit returned to positive. Compared to the previous quarter, revenue increased by 15.6%, and operating profit also successfully returned to positive.
