‘Busan Gyoyuk Sinmun’ Debuts... Inaugural Issue of Education News Distributed Throughout Busan The inaugural issue of the 'Busan Education Newspaper' to share news about Busan education.

On February 1st, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will distribute approximately 100,000 copies of the inaugural issue of the 'Busan Education Newspaper' throughout Busan.

The 'Busan Education Newspaper' changes the previous newsletter, which was produced in booklet form, into a newspaper format. This change aims to address the difficulty of delivering information to students and parents, as the previous newsletter was distributed only to a limited audience such as staff and subscribers.

Produced quarterly, this newspaper consists of 16 pages in a tabloid format, containing rich content such as ▲ comprehensive education, ▲ educational information, ▲ news for education families, and ▲ opinion pieces.

The inaugural issue features various articles on Busan education policies, including an interview with Superintendent Ha Yun-su for the New Year, the activation of public education, Neulbom School, and the School Administration Support Headquarters.

In particular, it includes valuable information that education consumers must know, such as the changes in Busan education in 2024 and educational expense support.

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to distribute 70,000 copies along with morning daily newspapers, about 27,000 copies to institutions affiliated with the Office of Education, and approximately 2,700 copies to related organizations and subscribers.

Existing newsletter subscribers will receive the Busan Education Newspaper without a separate application, and new subscriptions can be applied for through the Office of Education’s website. Additionally, the newspaper will be available as a 'webzine' on the website.

Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “The Busan Education Newspaper will serve as a new communication channel to resolve questions about Busan education and provide information. Going forward, our Office of Education will actively communicate with students, parents, faculty, and Busan citizens using not only the newspaper but also various other content.”
