Boseong-gun Announces Policy and System Changes for 2024

6 Sectors, 97 New Policies

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced 97 systems and policies across 6 sectors that will change starting this year on the 31st.


The main policies by sector are ▲Jobs & Economy 12 items, ▲Agriculture, Forestry & Livestock 24 items, ▲Marine, Environment & Forest 7 items, ▲Tourism & Sports 2 items, ▲Welfare, Population & Women 45 items, ▲Safety, Construction & General Administration 7 items.

▲In the Jobs & Economy sector, the Jeollanam-do Youth Retention Incentive Project will be newly promoted.


It targets youths aged 18 to 45 employed at small and medium enterprises with addresses in the jurisdiction, providing up to 20 million KRW per person over 4 years.


Additionally, to improve mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable groups, the number of call taxis will be expanded to 7, and voucher taxis to 19.


▲In the Agriculture, Forestry & Livestock sector, to achieve "Boseong-gun agriculture where everyone prospers together," the smart greenhouse support, previously focused on large-scale farms, will be expanded to medium and small farms, providing 3 million KRW installation cost support per facility.


To resolve labor shortages during farming seasons, the foreign seasonal worker system will be operated, and direct payments to small farms will be increased by 100,000 KRW.


▲In the Marine, Environment & Forest sector, eco-friendly organic marine product certification fees will be supported up to 2 million KRW per individual and 10 million KRW per group.


To enhance the reliability of marine products, the number of safety inspection items will be significantly strengthened from 93 to 184.


▲In the Tourism & Sports sector, to reduce cultural gaps for marginalized groups, the integrated cultural use voucher will be increased from 110,000 KRW to 130,000 KRW annually.


▲In the Welfare, Population & Women sector, to practice warm welfare administration, daily care services for youths and middle-aged people in need of care will be newly established.


To address low birth rates, support will be provided for infertility treatment costs for couples, and for second children and beyond, a first meeting voucher worth 3 million KRW will be provided to contribute to population vitality.


Furthermore, befitting the name of Uihyang Boseong, starting this year, survivor allowances for veterans will be paid for the first time, with the veterans’ honor allowance increased from 50,000 KRW to 80,000 KRW per month, and the veterans’ honor pension increased from 100,000 KRW to 120,000 KRW.


▲In the Safety, Construction & General Administration sector, informatization education to strengthen residents’ informatization capabilities will be promoted year-round, and up to 3 million KRW will be supported for fire waste disposal to expedite disaster recovery for residents whose buildings were damaged by fire.
