"Realizing 'Advanced Industrial City Guro'... 2024 1st 4th Industrial Revolution Advisory Committee Meeting Held"

Policy advice on projects related to Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), etc.

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held the 1st 4th Industrial Revolution Advisory Committee meeting of 2024 on the 29th at the Creativity Hall on the 3rd floor of the district office.

Since the launch of the 8th elected term, Guro-gu has been organizing and operating the 4th Industrial Revolution Advisory Committee to lead the 4th Industrial Revolution, which will be the center of the future economy, and to realize Guro as an "advanced industrial city."

The advisory committee, chaired by District Mayor Moon Heon-il, included 20 advisory members from related organizations and experts who shared the achievements of the G-Valley Guro Campus development project, discussed the 2024 operational plans for 4th Industrial Revolution-related projects, and reported on the 2023 implementation results.

Going forward, the advisory committee will hold regular meetings quarterly and continue policy advisory activities for △ fostering and developing an advanced industrial city, △ discovering private sector-led 4th Industrial Revolution-related idea projects, and △ securing urban competitiveness.

Last year, the advisory committee visited the "Guro Smart Farm Center," where advanced technology infrastructure such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) had been established, toured the facilities, and experienced augmented reality (AR) in advance.

They also participated in the 4th Industrial Revolution-themed exhibition held at the "Smart Guro Promotion Center," viewing △ artificial intelligence + machine learning demo programs, △ miniature modeling for solving smart city problems, △ quadruped AI robot dogs, and a large walking robot "Titan" demonstration performance.

A Guro-gu official said, "This advisory committee meeting was a time to review the progress of projects aimed at realizing an advanced industrial city and to set the direction for the future," adding, "We will strive even harder to ensure that Guro-gu leads the wave of change in the 4th Industrial Revolution field."
