SK Telecom starts pre-activation of the Galaxy S24 series from today (26th). Customers who made pre-orders by the previous day can use the service starting today. The Galaxy S24 series is breaking all-time records by surpassing the pre-order sales volume of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23.

As of the 25th, SKT's pre-order sales volume for the Galaxy S24 has exceeded that of the Galaxy S23. Among these, customers in their 30s and 40s accounted for about 50% of all pre-order subscribers.

Among the Galaxy S24 models, the Galaxy S24 Ultra was the most popular choice, making up 61% of all pre-orders, followed by the Galaxy S24 Plus at 20%, and the standard Galaxy S24 model at 19%.

Color preferences ranked in the order of Black, Gray, Yellow, and Violet. For the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24, the preference for the Yellow color was higher compared to the Ultra model.

SKT lowered the price burden through the 'T Safe Compensation' program, which offers compensation for used phones when customers return their smartphones.

When returning a Galaxy S22 Ultra at the time of device replacement, customers can receive up to 760,000 KRW in compensation, including T Safe Compensation and Samsung special compensation amounts.

An SKT official explained, "We are enhancing customer satisfaction by alleviating concerns about fraudulent used phone transactions through accurate inspections, objective purchase price proposals, quick payment of device fees, and secure destruction of customer information."

Until the 29th of next month, when activating the Galaxy S24 at SK Telecom’s official certified stores, customers can convert partner points such as OK Cashback and credit card points into 'T Moa Coupons' and receive up to 750,000 KRW in device installment discounts without coupon issuance fees.

Additionally, there are options to receive discounts by purchasing phones on installment with partner credit cards or by setting up automatic payment for telecom fees.

Purchasing phone insurance to prepare for damage or loss at the time of activation is also a reasonable choice.

The 'T All Care Plus S24' plan, which adds the 'Switch' service allowing unlimited damage compensation and receiving a like-new used phone without same-day inspection, is available for 9,100 KRW per month. If customers do not want the Switch service, they can subscribe to the existing 'T All Care Plus 4 Premium' plan for 8,000 KRW per month.

Im Bong-ho, head of SKT Customer Division, said, "We have prepared various purchase support programs to reduce the burden for customers who want to buy the Galaxy S24," adding, "We hope customers enjoy more convenient AI services by using the Galaxy S24 together with SKT’s AI personal assistant A. Dot."
