Kim Gwang-jin, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the Seo-gu (Eul) electoral district in Gwangju Metropolitan City, is actively conducting policy-centered election campaigns.
On the 25th, Kim held a policy meeting on disability issues at his campaign office and conducted an appointment ceremony for five members of the Disability Committee, including Shin Jong-hee, the chairman of the Disability Committee.
He stated, "Seo-gu, Gwangju is a city where about 13,000 people with disabilities live together," and added, "According to the social indicators announced by Gwangju City last year, the demand for social welfare facilities such as facilities for the disabled and elderly welfare in our Seo-gu accounts for 8.4%."
He continued, "It is necessary to expand the introduction of barrier-free installations to remove obstacles such as speed bumps that hinder social life, including the installation of customized ramps considering accessibility and usability," and promised, "We will also create conditions and environments where kiosks used in existing stores can be used by everyone."
Afterwards, one attendee at the meeting handed Kim Gwang-jin a policy proposal document containing items such as ▲construction of welfare centers ▲activation of integrated care projects ▲creation of a barrier-free Seo-gu city ▲environmental improvement of independent living centers ▲construction of Bandabi Gymnasium.
Preliminary candidate Kim Gwang-jin said, "I will definitely win the 22nd general election in Gwangju Seo-gu (Eul) and create visible and tangible changes in our daily lives that relieve the local residents' itching and frustration."
