Reed Walking Path Created by the Lake in Incheon Songdo 6-Gonggu... Completion in June

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 25th that it will create a citizen rest area along the lakeside in District 6 of Songdo International City.

This land, designated for multi-family housing, is the A12 site covering an area of 53,000㎡, where projects to develop Terrastown and the Edison Science Museum are underway.

Instead of leaving this long-delayed development site vacant, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to establish a reed walking trail, photo zones, and fields of canola and cosmos flowers by June.

To this end, unauthorized cultivation within the site was removed last year, and all abandoned agricultural waste was collected. Construction will begin next month, including land leveling and partial sowing, with completion scheduled by June.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to review whether to continue the rest area project based on the results of investment attraction for the A12 site.

Byun Ju-young, Acting Head (Deputy Director) of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "It is true that residents have felt fatigue due to the prolonged delay in developing the A12 site designated for multi-family housing. We will create a pleasant walking trail to provide satisfaction."
