DA Technology announced on the 25th that it will begin full-scale functional testing and indoor/outdoor pilot operations of intelligent service robots.
Through this domestic test operation with China's YOGO Robot, DA Technology plans to diagnose and evaluate whether technologies applied to YOGO Robot, such as ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms ▲L4-level indoor autonomous driving ▲IoT (Internet of Things) ▲cloud interface, are suitable for the domestic environment.
Additionally, tests will be conducted on the AI-based language learning capabilities equipped in YOGO Robot and the application of language patches including Korean, with the aim of finalizing the timeline for domestic commercialization.
In particular, since YOGO Robot is currently developing technology for integration with ChatGPT, DA Technology plans to expand the application scope of intelligent service robots beyond autonomous delivery robots in the future.
As of last year, YOGO Robot holds over 700 patents in the field of artificial intelligence, with more than 70% being invention patents, and its technological prowess is already recognized in the Chinese market, a powerhouse for commercial robots. In December, YOGO Robot was selected as a ‘2023 Shanghai Intelligent Robot Model Enterprise and Excellent Application Case’ jointly organized by 11 departments including the Shanghai Economic Information Technology Commission and the Science and Technology Commission. In January this year, it was also selected as one of the ‘Top 20 Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Technology Companies in China’ at WIM 2023 (World Innovators Meet), a prestigious conference in the Chinese science and technology sector.
DA Technology expects the intelligent robot business to serve as a new growth engine amid expanding demand for service robots due to labor shortages caused by low birth rates and diversification of service needs. Accordingly, it plans to further strengthen cooperation with YOGO Robot. Discussions on establishing a Korea-China joint venture through mutual visits between Korea and China with YOGO Robot will also be finalized soon.
