Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, is recruiting participants for the ‘Youth Startup Package Support Project’.
According to the county on the 25th, this project targets young people with excellent ideas and provides step-by-step support to remove barriers to startup entry and spread startup culture. After a pilot project last year, it is being fully implemented this year.
The target participants are young people nationwide aged 18 to 45 with startup ideas, who are prospective entrepreneurs without current business registration (individuals or teams of up to 4 people) or early-stage startups within 5 years of establishment (individuals or corporations).
However, young people residing in other regions can receive support if they open a business location in Gochang-gun or relocate their business location to Gochang-gun.
Among the participants, 5 selected through the second stage screening will receive 15 million KRW in first-year startup support funds for prototype development (production).
After a performance sharing meeting for product demonstration, support for self-reliance in the second year (up to 50 million KRW) will continue.
Applicants can apply by visit or email by the 6th of next month, and detailed information can be found on the county office website under notices and announcements.
County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “Through this project, we will fully support young people with excellent ideas to actively challenge startups and realize their ideas.”
