Kots Technology, a specialized company in embedded systems for the defense industry, announced on the 24th that it has signed a development and supply contract for excitation controllers (EXCITATION CONTROLLER) with Wonik P&E, a manufacturer of excitation systems (EXCITATION SYSTEM).
This order contract is based on the company’s core growth engine, technology in the defense sector, and aims to diversify its business and customer base. The full-scale development and supply will proceed over two years, from January 19, 2024, to December 31, 2025.
The excitation system is a device that supplies DC power to generators to control output voltage and reactive power, and is supplied to power plants by Wonik P&E. The excitation controller developed and supplied by Kots Technology is a key device that drives the excitation system, used in generators at hydroelectric, thermal, and nuclear power plants worldwide. It is an important facility requiring high reliability and product stability. Recently, with the increase in power demand, the importance of transmission and distribution infrastructure facilities has been highlighted, and the related market is also expanding.
The excitation controller developed by Kots Technology is based on the company’s core technological capability in embedded system design. Leveraging this system design capability, Kots Technology is developing ▲ SBC (Single Board Computer) ▲ military display devices ▲ computer devices for weapon system integration ▲ weapon system platforms. The company plans to accelerate its entry into new business fields and diversify its customer base through this contract with Wonik P&E, based on the technological expertise accumulated in the defense sector.
