Dobong-gu to Conduct Intensive Monitoring for Cold Wave Vulnerable Groups Until March... Confirm Safety of All Welfare Vulnerable Groups in Dobong-gu Within 2 Hours of Alerts... Utilize Smart Care System for Real-Time Safety Monitoring
O Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu (center), is having a conversation with elderly residents along with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who visited the Dobong-gu Office last year.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has been conducting 'Safety Monitoring' since December last year to protect vulnerable groups from cold waves and heavy snowfall during the winter season.
'Safety Monitoring' focuses on ensuring the safety of all welfare-vulnerable groups in Dobong-gu and preventing damage when cold wave and heavy snowfall warnings are issued.
When a warning is issued, the district sends guidance text messages to vulnerable welfare groups within a maximum of two hours and confirms the safety of priority management targets through phone calls and home visits.
In case of an emergency, reports are made to the 119 Safety Reporting Center to assist with transportation to emergency medical centers and hospitals, and services such as emergency welfare support are provided.
To this end, emergency contact information of vulnerable groups was secured in advance, and a constant response system for emergencies was established.
Real-time safety monitoring using the Smart Care System is also being implemented. The Smart Care System (Dobong Anshim Care IoT, Smart Plug), which can monitor indoor temperature at home, is used to check on the well-being of vulnerable groups.
An elderly resident A, who uses the Smart Care System, said, "It gives me great reassurance as it always checks on my health while I live alone."
On weekends and holidays, the AI Well-being Confirmation Service is actively utilized. The AI system checks the well-being of the subjects, automatically analyzes the content, and notifies the local welfare planner if there are any unusual findings. The notified planner immediately conducts home visits and resolves crisis situations.
The district plans to continue intensive monitoring against cold waves until March and intends to proactively identify vulnerable groups to cold waves and closely monitor safety accident risks by making full use of the district's human resource networks such as Bonggune Hope and Our Neighborhood Care Group.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "Winter is a more difficult time for vulnerable groups to live. The district will actively discover and assist households in crisis, and based on a tight safety net welfare system, ensure that all residents can spend the winter safely and warmly."
