Choi Sang-mok's National Tax Service Report... "Tax Administration Support Must Be Executed Smoothly"

Visit to Seoul Seongdong Tax Office

Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance, visited the Seongdong Tax Office in Seoul on the 23rd to receive the 2024 National Tax Service (NTS) 업무보고.

This year's NTS 업무보고 was conducted in a field visit format, departing from the past meeting style between the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and the NTS, where key executives from both organizations jointly inspected policy sites and communicated directly on-site.

Deputy Prime Minister Choi emphasized that the roles of the NTS and frontline tax offices, which meet the public directly on-site, are more important than ever to realize a "vibrant livelihood economy," and highlighted the NTS's role in rapidly spreading the warmth of economic recovery throughout the livelihood sector.

He also urged the NTS to ensure smooth execution of tax administration support measures such as the extension of value-added tax and corporate tax payment deadlines and early payment of value-added tax refunds, so that difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners can be quickly alleviated.
