Operation of the Reporting Reward System at Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station

The Bukbu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that it is operating a reward system for reporting illegal acts such as the closure of fire facilities.

"Emergency Exit is a Lifeline, Do Not Block It"

The reporting targets include multi-use establishments, cultural and assembly facilities, large retail facilities, transportation facilities, lodging facilities, entertainment facilities, and complex buildings (including retail and lodging facilities).

Examples of illegal acts include ▲closure or blockage of fire facilities ▲leaving fire facilities such as fire pumps in a broken state ▲closure (locking) or damage of evacuation facilities such as emergency exits.

Reports must be submitted to the head of the relevant fire station within 48 hours after witnessing the illegal act, along with a report form and supporting evidence, via visit, mail, fax, or information and communication networks.

Reward payments are made to the reporter after verification of the illegal act through on-site inspection and review by the reward payment screening committee.

For the first report, a cash reward or Onnuri gift certificate worth 50,000 KRW is given, and the reward for reports by the same individual cannot exceed 200,000 KRW per month or 2,000,000 KRW per year.
