On the 21st, a post titled "A customer asking to peel an orange at a restaurant" was uploaded on an online community. The part-time worker, Mr. A, who wrote the post, began by saying, "Yesterday evening, while working at the store, I encountered a strange customer."

Mr. A said, "Around early evening, a woman in her 50s came and had a bowl of galbitang," adding, "While I was cleaning an empty table, the woman called me over, and when I went to her, she asked if she could eat an orange she had bought before coming to the restaurant."

Mr. A asked the owner about eating the orange, and after receiving the answer that "it was allowed," he returned to cleaning the empty tables. However, the woman called him again, saying, "The orange peel is hard to remove, and my fingers hurt. If I peel it, my nails might get damaged," and requested, "Please peel just one orange for me."

Despite having a lot to do, Mr. A stood by and peeled the orange for the woman. After handing the peeled orange to her, he tried to return to cleaning the empty tables, but about 10 minutes later, the woman called him again, saying, "The orange I just ate was so sweet and delicious that I want to eat one more. Please peel one more for me."

Having already peeled one orange, Mr. A declined, saying, "I have a lot to do, so I don't think I can peel it for you. Sorry," and the woman replied, "Alright, then just do your work." Mr. A said, "Even after coming home, I felt bitter wondering if service workers always have to do whatever customers ask," adding, "Is this what it's like to work in service? I'm considering whether I should continue this job."

Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "If it was that sweet and delicious, she could have at least given one," "Anyone with a normal mindset wouldn't ask a busy employee to peel an orange not once but twice," "I can't believe someone calls to have an orange peeled instead of just giving one. You see all kinds of people," and "Is she only concerned about her own nails?"
