JYP Entertainment announced on the 22nd that it has become the first in the industry to obtain the international certification for Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
ISO 37001 is an anti-corruption management system standard established in 2016 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) based on consensus with the international community. It is a comprehensive international standard anti-corruption management system framework that prevents and monitors corruption-related acts such as bribery, embezzlement, and recruitment irregularities committed by employees or third parties such as agents within an organization. It specifies the necessary requirements and provides guidelines for organizations to be free from corruption and bribery.
JYP diagnosed and evaluated company-wide corruption risks at a professional level to establish an anti-corruption management system that meets the ISO 37001 certification requirements and to obtain international certification. Recognized for these efforts, JYP became the first entertainment company in Korea to receive this certification.
Building on the certification, JYP plans to continue strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and governance systems at an international level. In March 2022, JYP appointed a new female outside director to secure the independence and diversity of the board of directors. Along with EDM social contribution activities, JYP continues environmental impact reduction efforts through eco-friendly CSR projects such as 'Love Earth,' which fosters a healthy living environment, participation as a member of the global environmental network '1% for the Planet,' and voluntary campaigns like RE100, which procures 100% of its electricity from renewable energy sources.
