Four Participating Companies Donate 10 Million Won to Development Fund
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) held the ‘2023 Academic Year Industry-Academia Cooperation Performance Exchange Meeting.’
The event, recently held at the Westin Chosun Busan Grand Ballroom, was organized to share Dong-A University’s outstanding industry-academia cooperation achievements and excellent technologies, expand the university’s role in developing together with the region, and promote a culture of industry-academia cooperation.
At the event, Kim Sung-jae, Director of Dong-A University Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, Choi Jung-ho, Director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0), Hwang Moon-sung, Director of the Startup Support Group at Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Kim Hyun-sik, Director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group at Busan Technopark, and representatives from local governments and family companies such as Sunbo Industry (Saha-gu Enterprise Development Council) attended.
Four companies participating in the startup prototype support project (Inwise, G&G Corporation, Korea Industrial Development, Elgo) donated 10 million KRW to Dong-A University as a development fund.
At the Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Industry-Academia Cooperation Excellent Company Awards Ceremony, five companies including Busan Lotte Hotel, Vinex, Modara, KSB Sale, and Dong-A Creative Innovation Education Center received the President’s Award in the Standard Field Training category.
The Dong-A University 2023 Industry-Academic Cooperation Performance Exchange Meeting is being held.
In the Industry-Academia Joint Technology Development Project category, Sunjae Hightech, K-Drone Cooperative, and P&U Drone received awards; in the Shared Equipment Utilization category, Top Safe, Huval, and Sewon V&E were recognized; in the Technology Transfer category, Wonaf Korea, Seohan Innotek, and EJ Waters received awards; and in the Industry-Academia Cooperation category, Samsung Electro-Mechanics Busan Plant and Hanju Light Metal Busan Plant received the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group Director’s Award.
At the technology transfer agreement ceremony, two technologies were transferred: ‘Space Allocation-Based CCTV Optimization Method’ (Professor Lee Jae-kang, Department of Construction System Engineering) and ‘Development of Electrostatic Removal Device Using Two or More Ultra-Small X-ray Tubes Applicable to Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes’ (Professor Kim Sang-hyo, Department of Electrical Engineering) to K-Drone Cooperative and Sunjae Hightech, respectively.
During the event, a special lecture on the Busan Economic Promotion Agency’s ‘Waterloo-type Co-op Program’ was delivered by Hwang Moon-sung, Director of the Startup Support Group at Busan Economic Promotion Agency.
Additionally, various information and attractions were presented, including excellent cases and introduction of the Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Project Group, prototype exhibitions, and introduction of technologies owned by Dong-A University.
Kim Sung-jae, Director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, said, “Dong-A University is leading regional industries and culture through the LINC 3.0 project and is striving to jointly consider and solve community issues through various contribution activities. We hope for generous encouragement from companies so that we can play a pivotal role in community and industrial innovation.”
Choi Jung-ho, Director of the LINC 3.0 Project Group, said, “This event is an opportunity to explore development plans linked with local industries through the exhibition and promotion of excellent technologies owned by Dong-A University and to share business achievements through prototype exhibitions. We will strengthen the university’s role through continuous promotion and dissemination of outstanding industry-academia cooperation achievements.”
