9 out of 10 EcoPro Employees Are 'Local Talents'

From One Employee in 1998 to 3,400 Employees

Among EcoPro employees, 9 out of 10 are from regions outside Seoul and the metropolitan area.

EcoPro started as a venture company with only one female employee when it was founded in 1998. It has now grown into a global battery cathode material company employing 3,400 people, with a market capitalization of around 60 trillion KRW and sales of 6 trillion KRW (as of the end of September last year).

According to EcoPro on the 22nd, as of the end of last year, out of 3,362 EcoPro employees, 3,017 (89.7%) have addresses in regional areas, while 345 employees (10.3%) are from the Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi metropolitan areas.

Looking at the universities and high schools attended, 2,867 employees graduated from regional universities and high schools located outside the metropolitan area, accounting for 85.3% of the total.

By affiliated company, the proportion of employees from regional areas is 97.4% at EcoPro CNG, 96.1% at EcoPro Materials, 94.8% at EcoPro EM, 94.7% at EcoPro Innovation, and 92.5% at EcoPro BM.
