Recruitment of Participating Companies for the 'Advanced Industry Exhibition Participation Fee Support Project'... Applications Accepted from January 17 to February 6, Online, In-Person, or Mail Submission Available
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will support the participation fees for domestic and international exhibitions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling with corporate promotion and market development.
This year, the district expanded the support scale by reflecting the opinions of companies. The support amount per company increased from 2.8 million KRW to 3 million KRW, and the number of supported companies expanded from 25 to 30.
Additionally, promising companies received extra points if they contributed to regional revitalization, such as those certified for job creation and youth enterprises, or those verified for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management certification.
The district supports companies participating in domestic and international advanced industry exhibitions with up to 3 million KRW. Selected companies participating in offline exhibitions will receive support for booth rental fees and ancillary facility costs (interior costs, electricity, telephone charges, etc.). For online exhibitions, support is provided for exhibition hall construction costs.
The support targets SMEs with offices or factories located in Geumcheon-gu that plan to participate in exhibitions from February 2024 to February 2025.
Companies planning to participate can download the application form from the ‘Notices & Announcements’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website from January 17 to February 6, fill it out, and apply via email, or visit or mail the application to the district’s Regional Economy Division.
After receiving applications, the district will select supported companies in March through document screening and local subsidy review, then provide the subsidies. Company rankings will be determined based on a scoring table considering company certification, technology certification, and contributions to the local community, with higher scores ranked first.
Companies with national or local tax arrears, those with 300 or more regular employees, subsidiaries of large corporations, or companies receiving duplicate support from other institutions or autonomous districts will be excluded from the review.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “The 25 companies supported by the exhibition project in 2023 achieved 385 contracts worth approximately 1.6 billion KRW,” adding, “I hope this year’s project will serve as a stepping stone for companies to make a fresh leap forward, and we will continue to do our best to make Geumcheon-gu a great place to run a business.”
